As part of a recent project, Nicole was spotted ‘vandalising’ a car in an NCP car park in North Warwickshire… but don’t panic, no police were involved. It was all in the name of setting the scene for learning content for NCP’s lone working and Managing Aggression e-learning. Some great shots from Charlie Budd at Chin Badger Media.
Many Car Park Attendants, like other customer facing workers, face aggression from the public. Having the skills and strategies to manage conflict is vital, especially when the attendants are working alone. We have been working with NCP to update their training for existing and new staff. Embedding knowledge and skills in the business through e-learning, Train the Trainer, and Train the Manager Packages. Mark Buckwright, Jason Wright, and Andrew Moody have been heading up the project on behalf of NCP. We (and they) are very happy with the result and we look forward to continuing to work with NCP to help support their staff.
Also this week, our immersive conflict management and personal safety workshops have been up and running for several clients in the Rail Industry. We are so proud of our fantastic and talented actor facilitators their ability to bring situations to life in the training room is amazing. There genuinely is nothing else like it in terms of engagement and learning retention. Feedback from a few front-line colleagues:
“A fantastic, engaging, informative and most importantly a really necessary and effective training session”
“Well I’ll be taking all of that info away with me – you got our organisation, you got what we do and you got me!”
“I learnt to think about my levels of tolerance and that it’s OK to walk away. Legal info about Self Defence also very interesting!”
