Bullying and Sexual Harassment

The Equality Act 2010 has for some years provided protection from discrimination. This includes Bullying, Harassment, Discrimination and Victimisation.

From October 2024 all employers will have an additional legal duty to take ‘reasonable steps’ to prevent workplace sexual harassment.

To comply with their duty and prevent inappropriate behaviour effectively, ‘workplaces must show that they have provided meaningful training to all workers and managers’. Failure to comply with this duty can lead to enforcement action, compensation claims from workers and reputational damage to companies.

We have developed two workshops ‘Respect and Dignity at Work’ and ‘Preventing Sexual Harassment at Work’ to help our clients meet these duties. Either can be tailored to incorporate your organisation’s policies and procedures (or assist you in developing these) and address any specific issues you may be encountering.

Bullying

Who is it for?

Managers who need to understand their role and responsibilities and be equipped with knowledge and strategies to enable them to fulfil their duties, manage behaviour and incidents effectively and promote a respectful working environment.

Employees who need to understand their rights within the workplace and be provided with clear guidance on expected behaviour as well as strategies to deal with unwanted behaviour and actions that can be taken if they are made to feel vulnerable or intimidated.

Champions who can be the ‘go to’ for advice and support for both Managers and Employees. Embedding ‘Champions’ or ‘Guardians’ in your organisation is a vital step. These may be HR colleagues, Coaches, Trainers or anyone in the business who has an interest in being proactively involved.

What our clients say…

Personalisation is what makes Worthwhile Training special. I’ve never felt that I was part of a production line, and no request of them was too much trouble.
